Kenshin MHEC
What is MHEC
Methyl Hydroxyethyl Cellulose(MHEC) is also called Hydroxyethyl Methyl Cellulose(HEMC). It is a synthetic substance that is used as a thickening and emulsifying agent in many products such as constructions, cosmetics and so on. MHEC provides many benefits such as the ability to efficiently thicken and provide water retention as other cellulose ether.
CAS: 9032-42-2
Molecular Formula: C2H6O2*CH4O
What is the function of MHEC
Water Retention: The hydroxyl groups on the cellulose ether molecules and the oxygen atoms on the ether bonds will form hydrogen bonds with water molecules, turning free water into bound water, thus playing a good role in water retention.
Thickening Effect: It has good thickening ability to improve workability.
Anti-Slip: It could improve the effect of anti-sliding.
Stabilizing agent: During the construction process of cement mortar, the performance remains stable without stratification or segregation.
Application
Wall Putty/Skim Coat
Tile Adhesive/Tile Bond
Gypsum Plaster
Cement Mortar
Painting
Detergent
